- Download the Prior Year E-filing Utility
- Click → Save
- Click → Open folder
- Select the Mark-1099-Efile-Previous-Year.exe file
- Click → Run
- Click → Select Input File Name
- Select e-file to mark for previous year
- Click → Open
- Select tax year of file you are submitting
- Select Output File Name
- Select location to save new file to upload to IRS
- Click → Save
- Click → Create New File
- Confirm letter P is in 6th position of Transmitter T record
- Log in to IRS FIRE and upload file
